"Do you believe in science?"

Does anyone else open an email, realize that it’s going to be so good that you need to wait for a better time to read it, and then mark it as unread to make sure that you don’t miss it in your overly full inbox?

Well, occasionally, I do that. And when the email from Dr. Christensen hit my inbox alerting me to his most recent blog post about “belief in place of knowledge”, I knew it needed my full attention. I saved it, looking forward to a quiet moment when I could read it slowly and carefully. That moment came today.

Its opening sentence is a good one and one worth answering before reading on: “Do you believe in science?”
