Recently I attended a Kokopelli webinar with Dr. Erica Moore on mammary cancer (MC). Because I know that those of you with a female dog worry about this particular cancer, I wanted to share with you some of the insights that were helpful to me. Mainly, detection.

Dr. Moore stated that 50% of mammary tumors are benign, which gives me some measure of comfort. She also said that the first line of defense against MC is a physical exam, and then gave a detailed tutorial on exactly how to conduct an at-home exam. I was delighted to see just how easy it is. Here you go:
