So many of you have asked for book updates over the last two years — I can’t believe I’m finally getting to share this news with you! What started as a practical guide to raising a puppy (potty training, socializing, desensitization, preparing your home for a puppy, understanding dog body language, land-sharking, creating a positive association with baths, etc.) evolved into so much more. After spending extensive time educating all of you on spaying and neutering, I had to include those details in Puppy Brain. And because therapy dogs are my passion, I included a chapter on how to raise a therapy dog. And then I wanted to share what needs to be considered during end-of-life decisions. So much to cover in preparing humans for life with their dogs!

But perhaps my favorite section in Puppy Brain is the one that chronicles the eight weeks that puppies are with their mother. I had so much fun describing their developmental milestones and sharing favorite anecdotes. I wrote it with all of you in mind — I wanted to share on the page what has been so endearing as we all watch them grow up on Instagram.
