BOOK NEWS
Carmel Event April 29th 5:30pm-8:00pm
Oh my gosh, so many fun things to report. First, tickets for my event in Carmel are available! I continue to be overwhelmed by the love and support of those in my writing and canine community (yesterday I asked on Instagram who would like info on a Boston signing and within a couple of hours, I had well over 50 enthusiastic DMs!).
So, Carmel. What started as a simple author talk and signing has evolved into an evening filled with wine, gourmet appetizers, and a fun Q&A. It will be my first Puppy Brain event and I’m so grateful for the collaborative efforts of Sanctuary Vacation Rentals, Ami Carmel, Pilgrims Way Books, and Peace of Mind Dog Rescue. If you’re in the area, please join us!
SOMETHING TO LEARN
“How Your Dog Can Relieve Your Anxiety”
If you have been loved by a dog, you don’t need a study to tell you that their presence in your life has all sorts of wellness benefits, not the least of which is stress reduction. But I love to see research like this because the downstream effects are huge, including intentional ways to include dogs in places like senior facilities and first responder workplaces. Plus, it’s just interesting to learn how studies like this are conducted.
SOMETHING TO READ
Jane Goodall is more of a dog person, actually
Jane Goodall is celebrating her 90th birthday by spending 320 (320!) days on the road. She kicked it off in Carmel, California, where 90 dogs joined her on the beach for a 90 dog salute. This article is such a fun and inspiring read, as it not only lets us into little known facts about Jane (her favorite animal is the dog!), but also, shows us how to live a life of intention and purpose.

Do you have any other stops planned? Like maybe Chicago????

I must have missed the post about a Boston event - I’m so in!! Could you have it at The Liberty Hotel during “yappy hours” so we could all bring our dogs??❤️
