BOOK NEWS
Puppy Brain is a national bestseller on the USA Today list! I seriously can’t believe it. To be honest, I was taking a giant nap when Celadon emailed with the news (I have napped more in the last week than in my entire life - launch week is exhausting). I awoke to a text from Leigh, my agent. I almost thought I was imagining it when I opened my email and read the words, “Thrilled to let you know that Puppy Brain is now a USA Today national bestseller!”
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Truthfully, I am just the messenger in this entire process. The puppies have taught me and somehow, I am lucky enough to have such an incredible student body over on Instagram. I have loved meeting so many of you and am looking forward to the fun continuing at the following events (and if you are coming, please let me know!):
BOSTON! May 15th Hummingbird Books 7pm with Adrienne Brodeur
DALLAS! May 21st Interabang Books 6pm (conversation partner TBD)
FRESNO! May 25th Barnes & Noble book signing 1-3pm
BAY AREA! May 28th Dinner, Conversation, Q&A, and signing at a private residence in Belmont, CA - this is getting full! Email Jill@HappyWomenDinners.com for details
Last thing on books. Reviews make an enormous difference, so I’d be ever so grateful if you’d hop on over to Amazon and/or Goodreads and write one!
SOMETHING TO LEARN
Elise reached out to me on Instagram quite some time ago and has proven to not only be an incredibly bright and insightful businesswoman, but a kind and supportive friend. We have so much in common (both lawyers, both boy moms, both dog lovers) and had a really fun conversation on her podcast! Elise also has a wonderful newsletter on eating psychology and nutrition that you can subscribe to here.
SOMETHING TO READ
Years ago, we imported an adult male from Europe and he arrived with heart worms. The treatment was simply awful and never have I felt so bad for one of our dogs. This is not a disease to be taken lightly and while the incidence is lower here on the west coast, it’s still a serious consideration.
