Um, anyone want to come do yard work with me as we prep for the professional shoot that is being filmed at our house in about a week? I still can’t believe that Audible is coming with a professional crew (including a professional makeup artist - fun!). We are working out the details of who will be in it with me, but I think you can safely anticipate my Harper girl doing some of her famous demonstrations. Perhaps even lamb chop will make an appearance…

In other news, who’s coming to Zibby’s Bookshop in Santa Monica tomorrow? No tickets required for this one —  it’s a light lunch with an author meet and greet for all of Zibby’s Summer Reads picks. I’m so honored that Puppy Brain is on her list!

I began posting about playing safely with our dogs this week, as I suspect this will be a new theme over on Instagram. Harper’s diagnosis of bone spurs on her spine has led to a lot of rabbit holes for me, including how we can safely engage our dogs in a game of fetch. Guess songs by listening to one instrument at a time

It’s no secret that I love guessing games. But since I also love music, I was delighted to discover this fun little game of guessing a song by layering the instruments in one at a time. I definitely need practice with this one! (And so annoying that as I listened, stumped, Zander was able to guess many of them from the first instrument).
