I feel like I have been waiting for this book forever!!
I found you, somehow, on IG a few years ago, turned so many people on to you there, and have become a better dog owner just by watching your puppies and all you do for them. I used to have a dog trainer that said, "there are no bad dogs, just bad owners!" All you do is helping to change that!
Can't wait for the book and plan on using it for gifts as soon as I've had the opportunity to read it.
Great post. For the longest time I thought my book could only be considered successful if I made that exact list. But I knew from the very start that my book would never make that list. I didn't think this out of negativity but by asking around on just how does a book make that list. And I knew I didn't have all the things necessary. So I was a bit disappointed. But then when the emails and messages started coming in about the affect my book had on people, the craving to be on that list because very quiet. Puppy Brain is going to change lives - both human and dogs. And holy crap I can't wait to read it!!!!!
Exactly. It's a reframing of what we define as "success." It's hard because as a writer, we automatically fill in the narrative that success = NYT bestseller. And while we would all obviously do cartwheels to make it, not making it doesn't = not successful. I've learned so much in this process. Learned about what it means for a book to go to auction, what first and second pass are, what an ARC is (lol), and what a "conversation partner" is. But above all, I've learned about myself. It has been an extraordinary ride and one I never thought I'd get to go on. I'm ready to deliver this baby and can't wait for you to read it too! Hugs my friend. ❤️
I can hardly wait to receive your book!! I know it is going to have a life changing influence on all of us! Thank you again for pouring your heart and soul into it!!

I'm so fortunate to have been introduced to your IG by my children, with your perspectives that brighten the human & canine worlds! While our Buddy is no longer physically with us, I'm looking so forward to our next Golden , where we can put your wisdom into practice. Your prespective & insight - its long over due -- I love dogs & you help us humans connect with these beauties & your insights will help all who read this - to help our dogs become the dogs they should be ... I see this as freeing dogs to maximize their unique personalities & gifts to help ,- them 🐾 But also those of us fortunate enough to have a loved dog to be changed by them also. Thank you for such lovely wisdom - & your " change the world one dog at a time" resonates deeply to me💕🐾 Its allowing me to understand & see my dog through her eyes too - & what a joy that is. This is what my heart & head have looked for & - 💕🐾 Well I cannot wait to read - 💓 Bless your heart for writing this🤗
